House Planning and Construction Process

Home Selection Meeting

Our first meeting will introduce you to the home building process, beginning with the selection of your home design. We will discuss desired features and your personal budget. Also at this time our superior quality and workmanship will be on display as you enjoy a personalized tour of our existing homes or models.

Price Quote
We will discuss interior and exterior features that are standard and optional. Based on your choices, we will establish a price quote for your new home. With this quote, bank financing approval can begin.

Pre-Construction Meeting
Our construction coordinator will review your customized home owner's manual with you and verify any optional features you have selected. A construction timetable will be established outlining the phases of your home's construction. This will be the final meeting before we begin construction of your new home.

Framing Walk Through
Once your home has been completely framed, a meeting will take place to review where outlets, lighting, and switches will be located. Heating and air conditioning vents and plumbing features will be finalized at this time. Also, the kitchen layout along with cabinets, counter tops and vanities will be selected.

Quality Inspection
Our team at Schrickel Home Builders will conduct a thorough quality inspection of your home prior to your final walk-through to ensure that all aspects of your new home meet our high standards.

Final Walk Through
Once your home is completed, our service representative will take you on a room-by-room tour for your final approval. This meeting is intended to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the final construction of your home before closing.

Three-Stage Follow Up
Once you are settled into your new home, we will schedule a service representative to meet with you to ensure your continued satisfaction. Our representative will arrange 30-day, 3-month, and 11-month inspections after your completion date. The follow up meetings are an opportunity to answer any questions you may have pertaining to your home and to handle any required warranty work.
